KG Graduation Day for the Academic Session 2022 - 23

Dear parents and guardians,
 
As we come to the end of another successful school year, it gives me immense pleasure to present the Annual Day Report for the academic year 2022-23. This has been a year full of challenges and opportunities, and I am proud to say that we have risen to the occasion and have emerged stronger. It is with great pleasure that we present to you the school report for the academic session 2022-2023. As we reflect on the past year, we are immensely proud of the progress and achievements of our students, despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic. Our faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that our students received the best possible education, both in-person and through remote learning. We hope that this report will provide you with a comprehensive overview of your child’s academic and personal growth throughout the academic year.
 
The school has been a hub of activity throughout the year, with various events and programs organized to enhance the overall development of our students. From cultural events to sports tournaments, our students have participated enthusiastically, displaying their skills and talents.
 
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding success of our Class X students in the March 2022 State Board exams. The hard work and dedication of our students, combined with the guidance and support of our teachers, have resulted in an impressive overall pass percentage of 98.7%.

We are delighted to welcome the new arrivals of teachers, both local and outsiders, to our school community. Their arrival has brought a fresh and diverse perspective to our academic curriculum, and we are confident that they will contribute immensely to the growth and development of our students. The school has a total strength of 1600 students and 60 teaching and non-teaching staff and we wish to expand it further in the next academic session.
The school is constructing two new buildings to accommodate additional classrooms, computer labs, a library, and an amphitheater. This expansion aims to provide better infrastructure and facilities to the students, creating a conducive learning environment for their overall growth and development.

Sports achievements refer to the accomplishments or successes of individuals or teams in various sports competitions. It provides an opportunity for students to showcase their skills, competes at a high level, and foster a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among schools. I take this opportunity to congratulate
 
Nine students from the 9th and 8th classes represented the state level in track and field events at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. S. Shyam Sai, N. Sharath, E. Tharunsai, V. Akshitha, Rishitha, and Bowshik from 9th class, while N. Sharath and Vamshi Krishna from the 8th class participated in the event.
 
Tharunsai and S. Shyam Sai also represented the state level in Mahububabad and Midak districts respectively.
 
Three students from the 9th class represented the state level in the boxing event held at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. Sai Charan, Praneeth Sai, and Nishanth participated in the event.
 
Two students from the 9th and 8th classes represented the state level in track and field events at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Hammakonda. S. Shyam Sai from the 9th class and N. Sharath from the 8th class participated in the event.
 
The school organized Field Trips for Classes 8 to 10 and for the Primary classes too.  Picnic too was organized for Classes 6 to 7 and the same for the Primary section too.
 
Academic achievements in school are positive results that show how well they have performed academically. I take this opportunity to congratulate
 
Rania Zoha from class 9C participated in the National Level Inspire Manak Science Fair 2023 held in New Delhi. E. Rishitha from the same class participated in Mathematics, Science, and Environmental Science Fair and got selected for the National Level and Krishna Prasanna also from class 9C secured 3rd place in the English Olympiad exam at the State Level.
 
Our students participated in the quiz, essay writing, and drawing competitions organized by Eenadu and secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in each category, reflecting the quality of education imparted by the institution and the talent of our students.
 
The Senior Inter-House Quiz Competition, debates, and Elocution were conducted which provided the students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and promote healthy competition amongst other participants. The Primary school too held the Inter-House Spell Bee competition, showcasing their exceptional spelling skills.

The school organized several events to commemorate National Festivals such as Independence Day and Republic Day. These programs aim to instill a sense of patriotism and promote cultural diversity among students.
Several cultural festivals were celebrated throughout the year, such as Sankranti, Christmas, Dasara, Hindi Divas, Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam, and Bhatakamma thus promoting cultural diversity and providing the students with an opportunity to learn about various traditions and customs.
 
Multiple programs like Children’s Day, Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM), National Mathematics Day, and Teacher’s Day were celebrated in the school. These events were organized to engage students, parents, and teachers in various activities and to promote learning and development in different areas of education.
 
The National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, showcasing the theme of the Einstatic Science Fair 2023. The event featured 119 exhibits and 500 participants engaging in activities such as projects, art & craft, food, and games mela. The event successfully highlighted the importance of science and technology and promoted innovative thinking among the students.
 
The new initiative of badge distribution based on student merit is a positive step towards recognizing and rewarding excellence in various categories. The badges are awarded to students who excelled in different areas such as outstanding performance, 100% attendance, English speaking while in school, and term-wise performance-based.

Special Morning Assemblies are conducted daily by students under the following categories Village-wise, Class-wise, and Group-wise. The sole purpose of this is to bring out the very best in all children in communicating in English, enhancing their talents in dramas, dancing, singing, poem recitation, etc. This also exposes them to their own peer group thus bringing about stage fear and instilling confidence in themselves.
 
The students are taught to play either the guitar or the flute, as a part of their music education program. These instruments not only help in improving their musical skills but also enhances their concentration, creativity, and overall cognitive abilities. Learning to play an instrument is a fun and rewarding experience that can stay with them for a lifetime.
 
The IIT foundation classes provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the exam pattern and help enhance the skills required to succeed in these highly competitive exams. These courses help develop the skills required to succeed in tertiary education, with expert faculty from NIT. Students get the opportunity to take IIT exams twice a month, which enables them to practice and prepare effectively for the final exam. Additionally, these foundation courses also prepare students for other competitive exams such as IEO, NSO, IMO, NSTSE, etc.

Under the guidance of the teachers and the support of the parents the Kindergarten (KG) students celebrated various programs to engage themselves and promote their overall development like Grandparent’s Day, Mum & Me, Art and Craft, Janmashtami, and Sports Meet. They also conduct Morning Assemblies twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This exposes them to their own peer group thus bringing about stage fear and instilling confidence in themselves.
 
This year I am very proud to inform you that we have gone global with the launch of our new website. We can stay connected online with students and parents and keep you updated on the school news, events, and programs. The website, https://stmaryshighschooljangaon.com/ features a user-friendly interface that allows visitors to easily navigate through the various sections and access information about the school’s curriculum, admission process, facilities, and faculty. The website also includes a gallery of pictures and videos from various school events, which provides a glimpse into the vibrant and diverse school community. With this new initiative, the school aims to create a more engaging and interactive platform for communication and foster a closer relationship between the school and its stakeholders.
 
Our school is led by a dynamic and experienced team of educators who are committed to providing the best possible education to our students. The Management Team comprises of Mr. Udai Bhaskar Reddy, the Director cum Correspondent of the school, the pillar and backbone of the institution. He is always available to assist and support the school through thick and thin, playing a vital role in the smooth functioning of the school. I, Jamon Thomas have been serving as the Principal of the school at Jangaon for the past 27 years since its inception We are supported by a team of highly qualified and dedicated educators Mr. Jaypal Reddy, is the Senior Administrator who manages office administration and in-charge of the transportation, prioritizing the safety of students on their way to and from school
Mr. Raji Reddy,  the Exam Controller, ensures fair and efficient administration of exams, Ramana Reddy is the Senior Coordinator, while Shibu Chakravorty is the Primary Coordinator, assisted by Ms. Prameela. Together, they ensure the smooth functioning of the school academics, including syllabus completion, conduction of the exams in a timely manner, implementation of the yearly planner, and reporting to the Principal. They act as a bridge between teachers, students, and the Principal, and oversee the smooth functioning of Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
 
Mrs. Narmada Gavasker Reddy is the Pre-Primary Coordinator who has played a significant role in collaborating with teachers and parents for the KG Graduation Day. She works closely with Prameela teacher from the Primary section and other teachers to ensure a memorable and entertaining experience for the young graduates and their families. Mrs. Reddy’s efforts and dedication have been instrumental in making the event successful.
 
Naresh is the boys’ hostel warden and my wife Jinsa is for the girls’ hostel. Together they both are responsible for ensuring discipline, cleanliness, and healthy work culture. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including supervising morning and evening study hours along with a few teachers. They ensure that the children follow good table manners in the dining hall, and provide assistance to parents during parent meetings every second Sunday.
 
Pandit Venkataramana is the hostel PRO, who also plays a crucial role in the welfare of the children. He assists both Naresh and Jinsa in maintaining discipline and cleanliness in the hostel and also works to ensure that the children are healthy and safe. He helps to address any concerns that parents may have during parent meetings and assists in organizing activities for the children to participate in.
 
Together, the three of them work tirelessly to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the children in the hostel. They take pride in their work and are committed to ensuring that the children receive the best possible care and attention during their stay in the hostel.
 
Ram Singh is the Security-in-Charge at the school and has been serving for 21 years. He is a dedicated and honest person who works tirelessly for the safety and welfare of both school students and hostel students. Ram Singh is a sincere man who is committed to his responsibilities and has earned the trust and respect of the school administration, students, and staff. His contribution to the school’s security and safety is invaluable.
 
Together with the support of both the teaching and non-teaching staff, we work tirelessly to create a positive and nurturing learning environment where our students can thrive and reach their full potential. Hostel

St. Mary’s High School hostel is an excellent option for students seeking boarding facilities. The hostel is located in Jangaon, Telangana. There are around 156 boys and 25 girls at the hostel. The hostel is on the school premises and there are two separate hostels, one for the boys’ section and one for the girls.

 

The hostel provides boarding facilities to students from classes 3 to 10. The hostel has two wardens for male students and one warden for female students, ensuring that students are well cared for. 

Naresh is the boys’ hostel warden and Jinsa is for the girls’ hostel. Together they both are responsible for ensuring discipline, cleanliness, and a healthy work culture. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including supervising morning and evening study hours along with a few teachers. They ensure that the children follow good table manners in the dining hall, and provide assistance to parents during parent meetings on every second Sundays.
